Profile: Julie McDonald

Julie is a Solicitor and member of Resolution, who deals with every aspect of family law practice.

You will find that Julie is friendly, approachable and explains complex issues clearly. She has an understanding of how traumatic and emotional relationship breakdown can be, and offers a sympathetic approach.

She represents local individuals and business owners, and has attracted clients throughout the UK and abroad.  She has acted for many parents to resolve difficult issues regarding residence/ contact with their children.  She has also acted for grandparents who wish to have contact with or residence of their grandchildren.

Before qualifying as a Solicitor, Julie worked as a financial controller for a multi-national company.  This prior experience helps her to give particularly efficient and cost-effective advice to clients in relation to the vital financial issues involved in the breakdown of a relationship.

Julie graduated with a Law degree from University of Cambridge in 2005 before joining Gross & Co later the same year.

Julie regularly provides legal advice on BBC Radio Suffolk on topical subjects or changes in the law. Recent subjects include Pre-Marital Agreements and Child Maintenance. She also contributes to the Gross & Co newsletter. Please click here to read a selection of Julie's recent articles.

In her spare time, Julie enjoys listening to music and visiting the theatre and cinema.  She also takes an active role in the local community, and is a governor of a local middle school.
